My name is Zhu and I am a odd jobs dude doing stuff in
tech
support , mostly for 24x7 scheduler, sftp file transfers,
network attached storage.
some stuff, i'd done, pics and
sites.I also keep fish, but not so good with pictures of them.

I run my own own websites and email+antispam on 3 vpses.
I also try out stuff like appfog, opensolr, loginradius, and of course this page is sitting on app engine. I really can't script to save my life.. but i've done automation scripts for financial and healthcare services firms, both with batch scripting and 24x7's JAL; Google is my best friend. |
tech support? sometimes its scripts that i'd written
that are broken, sometimes its troubleshooting other people's ssh/sftp problems, sometimes its to do with antivirus, sometimes its backup and storage. often its evaluating new products. |

I read the tech news alot. usually its news.ycombinator.com
and slashdot.
sometimes its the register and inquirer. occasionally its thedailywtf and xkcd. |

I've been building
my own PCs for the longest time. Sort of familiar with network storage too. A couple of the pics above are screenshots of websites i run that nobody ever visits.. They all run on another vps, provisioned via virtualmin. |
besides mail, i also run a ejabberd(+jappix)
server, which sits on the same machine as the vitrualmin.. i'm also on whatsapp. and i use a lg p920 running xbsa android 4.04 rom. unfortunately I haven't syndicated my xmpp service, but I can be reached at zhu at moviesndroids.com or you could leave me comments.. |

on a small vps, in front of a even smaller one that runs only postfix,dovecot,mysql,phpmyadmin. |

NEWSREADER
This is actually a old Drupal(d6) distribution,managing news, which I stumbled upon, and which I found useful after I decided to stop using google reader after google announced its shutdown. The only things I added on top of it are the social login and the tag cloud.
www.qworky.tk is running the tattler distro, which searches the web for articles that are related to topics of interest..uses opencalais for tagging, and i'm trying out opensearchserver on it as well. a bit different from a rss reader then...

IDEAS & SUGGESTIONS
There's "we the people" and there's Kickstarter..but one's for the americans to beg their government to do stuff directly, the other's for donating to help other people's dreams come true. How about one to see if there's other people , not just americans, share your dream, and see if you can get it to come true together?
Post ideas, vote on them, comment on them, and see if there's enough interest to want to turn them into reality.
